365 Days of Poetry: Day Two-Hundred and Twenty-Two

the doves coo in the morning.
something many do not have.
or understand.

this time.
I manage to keep my mouth shut.
the self-absorbed cannot.
break the peace.
of a house.
full of writing and sharing.

I cringe.
but no one can see.
behavior like that.
makes no sense to me.

am I supposed to wait.
for you?
