365 Days of Poetry: Day One-Hundred and Forty-Eight

“When you try to find the you that you once had.”

fearless.
I want to be fearless.
ready for all comers.
ready to die.

fearless.
I want to be fearless.
done with the agony.
done with the cries.

fearless.
I want to be fearless.
laid out on the table.
laid out till the end.

fearless.
I want to be fearless.
ready for the beauty.
ready for my friends.

“Looking for myself, sober.”
