365 Days of Poetry: Day One-Hundred and Four

“There’s something ’bout the buildings in Chelsea that kills me.”

an old purpose was
to make it beyond the
Mason-Dixon Line
and see the holy lights
of New York City.

too late now.
managed to visit.
but no resources to stay.

haven’t seen Chelsea
in too many years–
responsibility killed the drive.

I have a last lifeline
pixels molded into
where I want to be.

“There’s something ’bout the buildings in Chelsea that just kills me.”

I’ll be reading this poem and others at the Virtual Chelsea Hotel, 3rd May, 2013, 6PM EST.
