365 Days of Poetry: Day Sixty-Four

there’s a world that I miss.
where we lived together, and nothing else mattered.

at first, I didn’t realize I’d left it.
some decisions are made without full knowledge.

the tree we carved our vows in.
is cut down.

I will not cut the ties I made.
while you were gone.
