365 Days of Poetry: Day Twenty-Three

I’m cheating again. It’s the electric guy’s fault. Idiot disconnected the ground to our cable and shorted the old ass modem out.

So, I bring two poems. One here, one posted for today.

together.
we can build–
together.
we can love–
together.
we can work–
together.

until the cancer comes.

together.
we can fight–
together.
we can dream–
together.
we can be–
together.

until the red days come.

forever.
we all blend–
forever.
we all end–
forever.
we all lie–
together.

when the cancer comes.
