365 Days of Poetry: Day Nine

I get to play with backdating posts. It will look like I never procrastinated at all. Weeeeeeeeee!

Now that I have such things out of the way, on to the poetry. Will try to keep it in order for longer than two days this week.

you are
the only one
who has seen
my whole life.

I am grateful
despite our faults
it has been a good ride
and at least I have one.

not all are so lucky
and many are overburdened
with the inability to have
the tiniest of secrets.

we could’ve been more
we could’ve been less
the real truth is
we have time

for now.
